Food & Beverage Service

The Food & Beverage Service Program prepares students for professional careers in the hospitality and cruise ship industries. The program combines classroom knowledge, practical training, and real industry experience to develop students’ service skills, professionalism, communication, and understanding of international hospitality standards.

First Semester

Fundamentals & Practical Training

During the first semester, students learn through a combination of theoretical lessons and hands-on practice in hospitality training facilities. They are introduced to the fundamentals of food and beverage service, including restaurant operations, table setup, service techniques, menu knowledge, order taking, guest interaction, beverage service, and professional service standards. Practical training is designed to familiarize students with the procedures and working environment commonly found in hotels, restaurants, resorts, and cruise ships.

Communication & Soft Skills

Developing Professional Soft Skills

Students also develop English communication skills, including General English and English for Hospitality, with an emphasis on communicating confidently with guests and colleagues in a multicultural workplace. Supporting competencies such as teamwork, grooming and personal presentation, guest relations, service etiquette, workplace discipline, and problem-solving are also integrated into the learning process.

Second Semester

Industry Training & Field Experience

In the second semester, students continue their development through industry training, gaining direct experience in a professional hospitality environment. This stage allows students to apply the knowledge and service techniques learned on campus while becoming familiar with actual workplace procedures, service standards, guest expectations, teamwork, and daily operational responsibilities.

Through this combination of campus-based learning and industry experience, students are prepared to enter the hospitality and cruise ship industries with practical skills, professional confidence, and a strong understanding of Food & Beverage Service operations.
